Nadine and Mark, owned Jamaican restaurants in Randolph, but saw Brockton as a place to expand. The corner of West Elm and Warren Ave was once the site of an old multi family that had a fire. The property was vacant for many years and weeds overgrown. With Paradise coming to downtown, it has added to an already existing cluster of small restaurants.
Current Status:
Business is great and Nadine and Mark are already looking for a second location in Brockton.
Eli Baking Company

Eli Baking Company currently leases space on West Chestnut Street but also has locations in Boston and Maine. They consolidated and now occupy the old Universal Products building. In addition to maintaining employees, they have added an additional 15

The process to retrofit the building to meet their needs took some time, but Eli Baking Company has made Brockton their home.
T.F. Kinnealey Foods

T.F. Kinnealey Foods was looking for an affordable location to move from Boston. After looking at Taunton, Peter Neville of Concord Foods suggested taking a look at Brockton. They puchased a location at 1100 Pearl Street
Current Status:
Kinnealey is expected to retain most of their employees from Boston but add an additional 10 employees.
Uno Foods Inc.
Our Solution:
Uno Foods was ready to leave Brockton and Massachusetts. Brockton 21st worked with the city and State to keep them here. We brokered a relationship with the MBTA for the potential expansion on their existing site on Spark Street. Proposed 8 million dollars in private investment expected with over 100 jobs created and 100 jobs retained.

Our Solution:
A Quincy based business purchased and rehabilitated an old factory into industrial and office space. 1.5 million dollar investment creating 6 new jobs. Vaughan Co. is exploring more investment here in Brockton.

located on Montello Street. Brockton 21st assisted in Guiding their expansion and TIF request through various City Hall departments. $500,000 in private investment retained 36 jobs and adding 5 new positions. We also assisted and encouraged new businesses to move to and expand in Brockton:
